About the book

A complete view of the book.

Your Project, Your Rules offers a path from repository knowledge to useful documents, clear instructions, and reusable procedures. It starts from the everyday work of Delphi developers, while keeping the method adaptable to other languages without requiring a change of environment.

The planned seven parts and 20 chapters begin with a ticket-system exercise, cover Markdown, directory rules, context, and skills, then move into implementation, bug investigation, testing, refactoring, and review. The companion repository includes templates, fictional data, and eight recipes. An optional JavaScript reference lets readers explore the case; the Delphi procedures guide adaptation to the reader’s own project.

The challenge

Does this situation sound familiar?

An agent changes the code but misses a rule only the team knows: which project to build, which file must not be edited directly, or which test demonstrates that the change works. How can you make that knowledge accessible without repeating everything in every request?

The book’s approach

Organize your project to guide and verify the agent’s work.

The planned journey starts with a small task and progresses through Markdown, context organization, and skills: reusable procedures for guiding a task. Each change is connected to boundaries and evidence, with final decisions remaining in the hands of the people who know the system.

“A convincing response does not replace compilation, testing, or review.”
By the end of the book, you will be able to:
✓Write Markdown instructions with verifiable criteria
✓Map a repository and distribute rules by project and directory
✓Create skills with supporting references, templates, and scripts
✓Plan features and investigate bugs within clear boundaries
✓Distinguish expected outcomes from execution evidence
✓Maintain a library of procedures reviewed by the team
Questions that guide the reading

Answers begin with the right questions.

Questions explored through context, criteria, and examples.

01

How can a rule known by the team become a verifiable instruction?

02

What belongs in project rules, and what belongs in a skill?

03

How can you check whether a change respected the task contract?

04

How can you adapt procedures across agents without assuming identical behavior?

Inside the book

A structured journey that helps you move forward.

Concepts and applications presented in a coherent sequence.

01

First results and foundations

Start with a small task and understand what an agent reads, decides, and executes.

02

Markdown and criteria

Organize documents, instructions, and acceptance conditions that can be checked.

03

Repository and context

Map files, distribute rules, and select useful context for each task.

04

Reusable skills

Create and evaluate procedures with references, templates, and scripts where needed.

05

Development and verification

Apply the approach to features, bugs, tests, refactoring, and change review.

06

Portability and maintenance
